Our Favourite Looks from the MET Gala 2012

Every year the MET Gala comes together to host both celebrities, designers and the like to come down and support charity while dressed in their finest. This year the theme was by 'Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations' and was held at it's usual venue, the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Kate Bosworth

First up, Kate Bosworth in a plum and feather gown that is a 1920's inspired piece. Paired with a tight ballet bun and wine lips, it was a definite stand out for the night.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson was snapped in a strapless and embellished figure hugging gown by Dolce and Gabbana. The nude dress was perfectly accessorised with minimal jewelry and a tousled hairstyle by the American actress.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba looked every inch the Grecian goddess is a glistening metallic gold one shouldered Michael Kors gown. Her look was completed with curls and a dark lip, with gold and silver accessories.

Solange Knowles

Beyonce's little sister stepped it up at this years event, wearing a strapless yellow dress with a peplum trim by Rachel Roy. The colour of the dress perfectly compliments her skin tone, as do the gold accessories.

Ashley Greene

Actress Ashley Greene looked ethereal in a strapless white gown by Donna Karan. The white chiffon dress was a custom design, and paired with Greene's dark locks and subtle accessories, was a great ensemble for the night.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Last but not least was Gwyneth Paltrow in this lavender satin mini dress by Prada. As one of the few guests in a mini, Paltrow accessorised her outfit with satin accessories in lilac and peach. Hair in a low tight bun, it allowed for her statement earrings to shine through.
